Being self-sufficient or being independent is a skill that not everyone possesses. I almost remember the days where I was always relying on others in order for me to do tasks that were a must for myself. For example, when there is something that I have to process, I cannot avoid contacting my friends or family to help me regarding my concerns. It is because I am afraid to fail, or in other words, I always have this negative thought that I cannot do things on my own and without people beside me. “Can you help me with this stuff?” or “Can you accompany me where I am going? I don’t know what to do. This is what I always tell them whenever I go somewhere or when I have something important to do. Every time my family or other people plead with me, I always have this behavior that I always follow them, but I will first find a company to help me before making their request to me. I keep doing it despite the fact that independence has a lot of practical value. I am the one who lacks confidence in my ability and is ineffective, similar to those who are not superior in ability but timid and incapable of performing greater tasks by my own self.
Time passed, and I realized that being dependent on my surroundings would not help me to grow, learn, and understand the true essence of life, which is the ability to believe in myself.Although some people are much more self-reliant than others, I realized that everybody should start to believe in their capabilities and try to do things independently. As a result of that learning, I have increased my self-esteem and begun to try things on my own as much as possible. It can also nourish my knowledge of always not depending on someone, and it helps me recognize that being independent can also lead you to help others instead of getting help from them. Learning to support myself is becoming increasingly important for any future growth I hope to achieve. For me, the value of independence is that it allows me to be comfortable with my actions as a human being. It motivates me to make appropriate decisions and take appropriate actions on all of my tasks. When you’ve achieved independence, I believe the next step is to help others achieve independence. Think for yourself, live your own life, and assist others in doing the same.
Independence is a significant quality. It has a lot of practical value. The ability to rely on oneself is a valuable pillar of inspiration and vitality. It keeps the person in a good mood knowing that you did it all on your own. It also gives us the confidence to take on any challenge. Awakening to my independence taught me that it will undoubtedly overcome any challenges. In the face of any adversity, I can remain unfazed. I am willing to take on any task that is given to me. And most importantly, always believing in myself is something that reveres me in all circumstances. To survive in this world, you must be self-sufficient. Learning to support yourself is essential for any success you hope to achieve in the future. And now, I became more independent and remains to value those things that enables me to appreciate my own efforts and leads me to be more efficient.
